Animal Allies
For young animal lovers ready to get stuck in
Ages 12–15Calling all Animal Allies! These fun, hands-on sessions are for young people who love animals and want to learn more about animal welfare in a real rescue centre environment.
Participants will:
- Learn about animal welfare and responsible pet care
- Get involved with appropriate daily tasks around the centre
- Spend time with our rescue animals and understand their needs
- Experience what it's really like to work in animal rescue
- Help with enrichment, feeding and cleaning routines

Work Ready
Real experience for future careers in animal care
Ages 16–18Thinking about a career in animal care, veterinary nursing or animal behaviour? Work Ready gives a realistic insight into life at a busy rescue centre, and helps build experience for college, UCAS applications and future employment.
Participants will:
- Shadow members of our animal care team
- Gain practical experience in a working rescue centre
- Develop workplace skills: teamwork, communication, professionalism, time management
- Build evidence for CVs, college applications, UCAS personal statements and interviews
- Ask questions and learn what careers in animal welfare are really like
