Help Ramsgate to stop the livestock boat

Ramsgate

The live transport of calves and sheep from Ramsgate to the continent started last year.

We want to see the end to live farm animals being sent on long journeys to farming systems in Europe that in the case of the calves at least, could be illegal in the UK.

Golden Oldie Appeal

carpenter

Our funds have been depleted due to increasing costs and so we are launching a special Golden Oldie donations appeal highlighting the plight of elderly pets that are brought to us for rehoming.

RSPCA Cornwall Branch is a registered charity that only exists through public support.

Items needed for our charity shops!

charity shop

We would be grateful to receive your unwanted good quality items to sell in our shops such as books, clothing, accessories, pictures and bric-a-brac. We cannot sell electrical appliances or furniture.

Goods can be taken to any of the shops (addresses on our RSPCA Shops page) or to the Centre at St Columb. If it's more convenient, such as after a house clearance, we will be glad to collect by appointment. Please contact the Animal Centre

Can you help us with any of these items???

Please contact the centre if you can help with any of these items.

Thank you!

Cat Meat and Biscuits and towels

Has anybody got cat meat/biscuits that they would like to donate to the Centre? We are running out of both. Also we are in need of towels.

Dog blankets/chews

Has anybody got any blankets, which we could use for our dogs, as we have a very limited supply? We wouldn't like our dogs to have cold paws!!

We are also in need of dog raw hide chews. These are great for the dogs, giving them something to do and reducing their stress.

haystack

Hay or straw

We would be really grateful if anybody could supply us with some hay or straw for use in the animal's accommodation.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Success Stories Wanted

Success

Owners who have adopted a pet often email the Centre and tell us how things are progressing. It is always encouraging to see animals happily settled and we thought it would be nice to share some with you via the web site.

Hence, we have started a 'success' section, in which owners contribute a few words and pictures telling us how their pet is settling in the new home.

If you feel that you may have something to share, please email the centre with your experiences.

To see the sort of thing we want, see the 'SUCCESS' page here .
