Have you signed the petition to stop the Ramsgate livestock boat?
The live transport of calves and sheep from Ramsgate to the continent started last year. Our investigations raised concerns that the boat being used is not suitable.
We want to see the end to live farm animals being sent on long journeys to farming systems in Europe that in the case of the calves at least, could be illegal in the UK. The petition calls for Ramsgate to be allowed to stop this trade from its port, and for a journey time limit of 8 hours.
