LYLA

Lyla on the palm

Lyla up to mischief

I was adopted in July 2010 by Sam and Neil Bryant.

My new mummy and daddy treat me like a princess, even though I get up to lots of mischief (as you can see from my photos). They have spoilt me with lots of presents, my favourite toy is the spider. I have made two bunny friends, Cottontail and Blackberry, we have lots of fun together in the garden.

I love my New Home!!!

PAWS & LUCKY

Paws and Lucky

Paws & Lucky

Way back in 1999 we adopted two cats called Kurt and Carmen! They are both still alive and just as mad as they were when we first got them.

We changed their names to Paws and Lucky. Paws is the white tabby cat and Lucky is the black cat.

JASPER

Jasper

Jasper

We adopted JASPER a year ago and he is lovely! As you can see from his photos (one would never guess that he is 11½ years old) he is a very lively, alert and intelligent dog – who is also extremely affectionate and loyal. When we were visiting him at the centre one of the volunteer walkers said to us that Jasper was the sort of character who would give to us more than we could ever give back … and he was so right.

Jasper having fun

It has not always been easy; Jasper had some issues which the centre advised us of from the start. We were very well supported by them and by Jeri, the behaviourist, and Jasper is now a (generally!) beautifully behaved dog who makes friends with everyone, and is adored by all. He fits in everywhere and goes everywhere with us – staying in hotels on holiday, visiting friends and family, to the office every day, and of course, parties which he adores – particularly for the food!

Watching Jasper settle in and seeing his character emerge has been really special, enjoyable and rewarding – we are so glad to have him. He is a very much loved and important part of our family.

Mimi & Freddie

HI, I'm Mimi (I'm on the left) -

I thought you'd like to know how me and my brother (he's on the right) are getting on.

We left the centre for a new life in December 2008 with Carol and David. We are having a great time. There is lots of nice food and toys. I like carrying my furry wand about but my big brother Freddie likes art as you can see from his photo. He thinks he's becoming something of an expert.

Must go now, it's time for cheesey crunchies.

Bye from Mimi and Freddie Nicholson, Tintagel

Bertie & Ernie

I just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with our cats.

We had Bertie and Ernie from you this year. They settled in straight away. You can see from the photos they are very much at home.

We are thrilled with our cats and the way you helped us when we were choosing.

Thank you for all you do from

Mowser

Name

Mowser

We adopted Mowser on Christmas Eve 2009, and she was the best present we could have asked for!

After a nervy start, she has really made the house her own now, and just loves to lie in the sun, chase butterflies, and curl up under her blanket.

She is a cat with great character and personality who has enriched our lives more than we could have imagined, really making us a family!

Rosie

This a photo of Rosie taken this morning doing her impression of Scooby Doo. She has settled in very well with us and is a real part of our family.

She does need some help with training and we have asked our local trainer to give us some guidance and she is willing to do that.

We will keep in touch and send more pictures soon.

Kind regards

The Broadhurst Family
