BEST PRACTICE FOR KEEPING RABBITS
- A garden home or an empty wendy house can make an ideal home for your rabbit, when it is specially converted with a run attached.
- An old hutch with its door removed can be used as a sleeping area ..... and it means that you can spend time with your bunny and stay warm and dry.
- Rabbits need areas to hide (bolt holes) even in their runs as they are a prey species and are easily frightened.
- They also need safe toys to enrich their environment and give them something to do.
Rabbits are sociable animals and are best kept in pairs. A couple will get less bored and are less likely to suffer from loneliness or depression. They will engage in playful chasing, mutual grooming and quiet snuggling times.

SNOWDROP and MAXMax is a 3 - 4 year old male dutch rabbit, who is looking for a new home with Snowdrop, a white, 1 year old female rabbit. They have formed a new friendship at the centre and are now looking for a home together. Both are good to handle and can live with children over 8 years old. | |
